Staff Officers

Communications (CM)

Encourage proper use of VHF-FM radios for communications and coordinates communication drills, including training exercises in search and rescue communications.  Provides qualified Auxiliarists for standing communications watches at Coast Guard Stations.

Roman Ryterman, FSO-CM

Communications Services (CS)

Serve as Division webmaster.  Relays important information to Flotilla officers, staff and general membership.

John Galleazzi, FSO-CS

Finance (FN)

Supervises all financial matters; maintains records of all financial transactions; develops and maintains an annual budget; ensures that an annual unit audit is performed.

Amelia Gur, FSO-FN

Information Systems (IS)

Maintains a system to record all member activity in each mission category (i.e., operations, public education, member training, AIM) and supervises reporting to higher Auxiliary levels and individual members.

Mel Sherin, FSO-IS

Marine Safety & Environmental Protection (MS)

Coordinates the Flotilla's marine safety and environmental protection activities, including public environmental education.

Materials (MA)

Maintains an inventory of current Auxiliary forms & literature. Assists members in ordering educational materials and uniform items.

Bobbi Ryterman, FSO-MA

Member Training (MT)

Encourages a continuous program of training activities to improve members' knowledge in subjects relating to Auxiliary functions.

Navigation Systems (NS)

Responsible for navigation aids verification, reporting aids to navigation discrepancies, chart discrepancies, and chart updating.

Operations (OP)

Coordinates safety and chart updating patrols and support missions. Ensures that such activities are performed according to Coast Guard policy.

Edward Gratz, FSO-OP

Personnel Services (PS)

Promotes the growth of the Division's flotillas. Develops programs and activities to retain current members.

Coordinates the Division's marine dealer visitation program.

Vessel Safety Checks (VSC / VE)

Oversees and coordinates Vessel Safety Check program to help educate boating public about required safety equipment.  Schedules specific vessel examination stations and activities as needed.
